Customs Brokerage & Entry

Done right

Day-to-day customs clearance and entry filings, handled by someone who knows your account and answers when you call. A small paperwork error is cheap to prevent and expensive to fix.

the first time.

What This Covers

Entry filings, ISF, and the day-to-day work of getting your goods cleared. It sounds routine, and most of the time it is. The exceptions are what you’re actually paying a broker to catch — a bond that needs to be larger than you expected because of an FDA requirement, an application signed on the wrong line, a value that doesn’t include an assist.

Those aren’t hypothetical. They’re the ordinary texture of an import program, and any one of them can turn into a CF 28 or CF 29 in your inbox.

On Filing Early

We’re able to file pre-departure. We don’t usually recommend it — there are too many variables still in motion between origin and arrival — but if your situation calls for it, we’ll walk through whether it makes sense for you.

How We Work

Every client’s activity lives in one place. Documents, updates, and the conversation around a shipment all stay in the portal, so if something goes sideways there’s a record of what happened and when — and you can find your own paperwork at three in the morning without waiting on an email.

When we ask you for something, it’s because we need it. Being forthcoming with information isn’t a formality here; we can only be as accurate as what you give us.

What We Don’t Handle

Pharmaceuticals, alcohol, firearms, and moving vehicles require specialized licensing Mercantile doesn’t carry. Those go to trusted colleagues who specialize in exactly that.
