Kim Daniels got her start managing logistics for construction supply projects around Las Vegas — including work tied to The Fountainebleau Hotel and Resort, the Panorama Towers and the World Market Center. That work uncovered a different calling: international trade and customs compliance, and Mercantile grew from there.
Along the way, Kim earned a master’s degree in law — not to practice law, but to be able to read customs regulations closely enough to translate them for clients into plain language, instead of just repeating the legalese back to them.
She also spends time on Capitol Hill in Washington DC directly engaging on the issues that shape trade policy — the kind of access that turns “we’ll look into it” into an actual answer.
Why We Exist
A compliance mistake — a CBP penalty, a bond company fine, a botched entry — can wipe out a month of revenue or shut down an import program entirely. And most importers can’t get a call back from the broker they’re already paying. Mercantile exists to make sure every client gets the attention, accuracy, and advocacy that protects their business and their bottom line.
